The digital ego super highway of Mitch Palczewski; a multimedia artist, designer, engineer, working living and tromping between Hartford and New Haven Connecticut. His practice is interested in public spaces, things dissolving and reforming, and the putting of objects in piles. Beyond the studio he wrangles data into stories and designs digital applications.

Exhibiting Pile Pile Pile
Pour Out of The Abyss exhibits a playful refusal of immersive experience: embracing instead uneven and disjointed spaces. The artists sketch ruptured worlds on the brink of collapse, to be reconstituted by storytelling. The cast and sets are made of the same grotesque stuff; trading roles corpsing the scenario in a dance of elements from different planes.

Exhibiting Pile Pile Pile
Joined a group of faculty from the Central Connecticut State University in an exhibit part of their on going art residency in Venice. The residency concentrates on Venice's complex environmental, cultural, and social dynamics, treating the work as an ongoing laboratory for performance art, audiovisual projects, graphic works, and sculpture.
Project - 2025-26
Pilepilepile is a participatory web 3D open-world developed in collaboration with FEED FEED NVH. Visitors are invited to wander and edit a digital community garden, building spaces and reconstituting unique stories from the artists' growing bootleg collection, an archive of accumulated iconography and assets. The journey is unconstrained by scale and weight, yet bound by the patterns of its creation.
Project - Spring 2025
The Spiritual Image Generator posits the capture of spirit in an mechanical device. Functionally it is a drawing application (the NBSP) which watches you draw and attempts to replicate your choices. The machine is clunky and rudimentary but also intimate, expressive and familiar and of course it is because it is you.

Project: Gare De XYZ
Blanket Forts and Other Assemblages, a special issue of Hyperrhiz, is presented as a series of virtual 3D worlds, playable through a web browser. Projects were selected from an open call, in which contributors were prompted to create interactive worlds inspired by the idea of the houseboat, campsite, terrarium, diorama and other varieties of constructed environments, either real or imagined, that facilitate new modalities of intimacy and collectivity.
Project - Fall 2024
Gare de Vector3 constructs a memory as 3D space and contemplates how objects can be embedded with a spirit. The project collages physical and non-physical materials documented by the artist to assemble a particular memory. Materials are arranged with their relationships in mind to build a structure of context, where meaning is amplified by the sum of its parts. The work invites you to step into the artist's shoes and participate in an exploration of space, accessing and sharing the spirit of the artist.
